Vauxhall Astra Twin Turbo Diesel

Vauxhall has introduced the most powerful non-VXR car to their range and the surprise is that it is a diesel – the GTC 2.0 CDTi BiTurbo.

The new Twin Turbo Diesel puts out a very impressive 195bhp and the torque is a healthy 295lb ft. These really do make the car stand out with a 0-60 time under 8 seconds. A claimed combined fuel economy of 53 mpg really does make this car one to demand the utmost respect.

Gone are the days of the boring old diesel with cars like the GTC having sequential turbochargers with 85% of the torque at only 1,500 rpm! This will make the car a real handful and one that needs to be driven by a driver with some experience. if that is you then we would love to quote you using our performance Vauxhall car insurance.

The car is a real looker as well with lots of extras over the standard single turbo car. 18″ alloy wheels, electronic climate control, 6mm lowered suspension and new body kit. We know this car is bound to be popular and is a real alternative to the VW Golf TDi, both of which can be covered via our performance car insurance policies.
