Performance Volvo S60

default header image

Although reportedly made for a single special client, this Volvo S60 would happily take on the performance saloon mantle currently dominated by the likes of the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG, especially when it comes to the engine department.

Rumour had it that Volvo were planning to use the 4.4 litre V8 engine from their XC90 to power a new super range of the S60. Instead this car uses the T6 engine with a huge Garrett turbo giving a power output of 508bhp! This is enough to give the car a 0-60 time in under 4 seconds, a top speed of over 300kph, and all put to the wheels via a 6 speed manual gearbox – one for the driver fans out there.

As with all modifications of this type there has been extensive work on the chassis. Principally this concerns the ride height, track width, suspension, brakes, and a substantial weight saving. Officially Volvo are waiting to get response back from potential customers as to whether they will build the car and make it available to the general public. We sincerely hope they do so we can provide the performance car insurance for them.
