The Ultimate Ferrari Collection?

The Ultimate Ferrari Collection? Header Image

It’s not too far fetched to say that over the years Ferrari have produced some of the best hypercars on the market, so on that basis who wouldn’t want five of their best vehicles parked up outside the house? Ok, not everybody has the €3,830,000 required to do this, but we can all dream can’t we?

RM auctions are making this dream a reality as they offer these cars as well as many others during the auction being held at Villa d’Este on May 25th. The collection includes some of the best Ferrari’s ever to have graced the tarmac, and our pick of the bunch includes the Ferarri 288 GTO, the Ferrari F40, the Ferrari F50, the Ferrari Enzo and the massively impressive Ferrari 599XX. As there are very few of us out there that managed to get a hold of LaFerrari upon it’s release, we can imagine having the funds as well as the opportunity to get hold of one of the Ferrari icons may just tempt a few of you out there.

Should you have any other pennies lying around there are a few other great cars up for grabs. The likes of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4Daytona is going for a nice €320,000 and at the other end of the scale you have the Ferrari 400 Superamerica Aerodinamico going for the slightly larger amount of €2,200,000…although that is a price many will be willing to pay for a car that we feel is worth it’s weight in gold.

Looking back at the “ultimate” Ferrari collection, we have to admit we are very impressed with the models up for grabs. The Ferrari Enzo has little over 1,000km on the clock similar to that of the F50’s. 35,000km is the reading on the 1985 288 GTO which is only slightly less than that of the 40,000km on the F40. All of these figures are really quite impressive as it must take every ounce of self control not to jump in these cars and see just what all the fuss has been about over the last couple of decades. The rarest car of the bunch though, the 599XX is one that may not catch the eye of many bidders due to the fact it’s not exactly road legal, and when it comes to the previous list of Ferrari’s, not the best looking.

No matter what the outcome of the day, there is going to be some very lucky drivers leaving Villa d’Este on May 25th and we regret to say none of us will be that lucky any time soon. Below we have attached a video of the Ferrari 599XX in action at Monza, showing you just what you could be getting hold of should you be part of the auction, enjoy!
