Jaguar XF bound for success?

After a great summer for everyone surrounding the Olympics, it’s fair to say that being directly involved wouldn’t damage your popularity too much (unless you are G4S). Jaguar thought they might get involved in this side of things back in June of this year as they decided to hand over two prototypes of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake to the Sky cycling team as they took part in the Tour De France.

With Jaguar taking a direct involvement in the Cycling teams of the UK, you may start to see where we are going here. Not one team had more of a following this summer over the guys in the cycling, how could you possibly fail to get noticed as you followed the red white and blue lycra as they are cheered on by hundreds and thousands in the crowds day by day. Sure you might just be handing them a bottle of water here and there, or helping with mechanical failures along the way, but you are going to be seen and in the motoring world being seen is the most vital part of selling cars.

Now the Jaguar XF Sportbrake had peoples attention, why not get to know the ins and outs. The engine range of the XF Sportbrake is likely to  initially be fitted with a 2.2litre four cylinder and with a 3.0litre V6 Diesel too (with the exception of the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 from the XFR). In order for the the Jaguar XF Sportbrake to progress the way it needs to, it is also being said that along with the new XJ it will be all-wheel-drive, a feature that is sure to make the estate excel from previous models. With a gently sloping roofline, sharply raked tailgate and subtle rear spoiler the Jaguar XF Sportbrake is going to be a good looking car as well as one to watch in November as we feel it will be lifted to new heights with the impact supporting the cycling teams will have had over the last six months.
