Convicted Drivers by SPECS Cameras

Our friends at Pistonheads have run an interesting article about how to drive through a stretch of road protected by Specs cameras. These aren’t like Gatsos or hand held devices – they just sit there and record your ‘average’ speed over a given distance.

But what is the best way to drive through these. Those of you who have experienced the 14 mile specs stretch on the M1 near Luton will have had this quandry. If you lose a bit of concentration and maybe go over the 50mph, what is the ideal speed to slow down to and for how long?

If you have received a ban and need speeding ban insurance then do call us – we have excellent rates for all banned drivers and those who have merely received 1 or more convictions. Follow this link for our convicted driver insurance.
