Porsche’s newest Porsche 911 Turbo went around the Nurburgring in seven minutes 39 seconds. A full 10 seconds quicker than the previous model.

The 3.6-litre unit from the previous car is replaced with a 3.8-litre flat-six which is now powering the new 911 Turbo. Also, the new car is now weighs 25kg less and its power is up by 20bhp.
Although their closest rival, the Nissan GTR, went 12 seconds faster around the Nurburgring, they still only managed to improve its time by just less than 2 seconds. Whereas the new 911 Turbo has improved by 10 seconds.
