If you should ever find yourself thinking this, STOP! Alcohol slows your reaction times, between 10 and 30%. It might not sound like much, but on the road it makes all the difference. The 8,320 drink driving casualties last year will attest it just isn’t worth the risk.

We have teamed up with AlcoSense to bring you an infographic depicting drink driving by numbers this Christmas. It highlights how pervasive the problem of drink driving is, with 7.8% more drivers arrested under the influence in December. However, the real number of drink drivers is likely to be far higher.

The infographic highlights the severe consequences of being caught drink driving and provides a list of tips to help you stay safe this Christmas.

If there’s one thing you take away, it’s that your life and the lives of your fellow revellers are worth more than the cost of taxi home.
