Eating behind the wheel, more dangerous than you think!

A recent article in the Telegraph shows how a study at the University of Leeds has proven that eating behind the wheel is more dangerous than drink driving.  Interesting figures include:

  • 44 per cent slower reactions while eating behind the wheel than usual
  • 22 per cent slower  when sipping a drink

By comparison, a study undertaken by the Transport Research Laboratory found that :

  • 37.4 per cent slower reactions while texting on Mobile Phone
  • 12.5 per cent slower reactions while driving at the legal limit
