Officially unveiled in 2009, this stunning mid-engined car replaced the Ferrari F430. With a V8 engine producing 562 BHP, a 7 speed dual-clutch gearbox, race honed handling, and drop dead gorgeous looks, the 458 Italia has already marked itself as a future classic. The biggest shock must have been to McLaren when compared to their MP4-12C.
As with most Ferraris the car was designed by Pininfarina , incorporating its F1 technology and helped by the likes of Michael Schumacher. Our Ferrari insurance will also be extended to cover the stunning Ferrari 458 Spider and we eagerly await the arrival of the Stradale version!
The Ferrari 458 is widely regarded as a big step up over the F430, apart from an embarrassing wheel arch adhesive problem on earlier models, and managed to lap the Top Gear track only 0.1 seconds slower than the Enzo! Praise indeed, especially as it is arguably the best looking car on the market as well – looks and speed!
