Looking like it has been covered in wallpaper from Laura Ashley, the latest version of the Clio Renaultsport has been spied at the ‘Ring’ which now appears to be the standard testing ground for any self respecting performance car.
Disguised to look rather like its competitor, the Vauxhall Corsa, the new Clio looks like it will also be offered in 5 doors – a first for any Renault from the RS range.
The only real negative we can see (or hear) is that the old wonderful screaming 4 cylinder 2.0 litre normally aspirated engine is to be replaced with the now all too common 1.6 litre turbocharged unit. No doubt all the tuners out there will be pleased but we wait to see how the motoring press and public view the car.
