The E-Pace is Jaguar’s compact, premium SUV which was launched in July 2017. The launch was quite spectacular as the car was used to perform a world record barrel roll, rotating 270 degrees and travelling 15.3 metres through the air!
Please do not get confused by the E-Pace’s name: the E-Pace is not electric, it uses traditional petrol or diesel engines. If you want an electric SUV from Jaguar, you’re looking for the I-Pace. The E-Pace is based on a platform from Jaguar’s sister brand as used in the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport. It’s one of the safest cars in its class, with a Euro NCAP rating of five-stars. This is because all models come with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance and a system that checks how tired the driver is.
The range is extensive with some 54 variations being available. In the UK the E-Pace starts at around £29,000 but extends to over £50,000 once you add the power (296bhp) and the HSE spec.
