The AMG A45 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. Despite the A class being in its third generation this is the first high performance edition. The A Class received a major design overhaul in 2012, which transformed the model’s image from a boxy supermini, to a sleek and stylish hatchback. Following this sporty transformation an AMG edition was all but inevitable.
The AMG A class is a thoroughbred sports car, it‘s 4 cylinder petrol engine produces 354 Bhp. Mercedes even goes so far as to claim that it is the most powerful 4 cylinder engine in the world.
The AMG A45 is a bold step up from the entry level A Class. It has chassis upgrades, all wheel drive and 7 speed dual clutch transmission. It is blindingly fast with plenty of attitude. It is without doubt the hottest of hot hatches. As if its credentials weren’t established already it even has the same steering wheel as the AMG GT.
