The newest Civic Type R has been dubbed the fastest Type R yet with Honda’s first ever turbo road car. It will comply with the Euro V emissions regulations using a 2-litre turbo engine instead of the 2-litre naturally aspirated engine.
The car was revealed at the Frankfurt Show in December 2011 with an altered look. There will be a lower chin spoiler and chunky side skirts along with the large mesh air intakes at the front. Ride comfort and grip will be improved with a wider and longer chassis than the standard Civic’s. To top it off, there is an extended spoiler and rear diffuser to increase stability at high speeds. Although the car will keep its LED lights and headlights with the standard front grille to top off the new look.
The 6-speed manual gearbox, improved suspension and sharp steering makes the car feisty and quick off the mark when driving.
