Happy April Fool’s Day! Today is the day you get to be a little bit mischievous and get one up on your mates. So, to inspire you, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite car related pranks. Each one is more inspired than the last and guaranteed to get right on someone’s nerves. Remember though, don’t let things get too out of hand.

The Classic Wrapped

Get some shrink wrap or Clingfilm and completely wrap your friend’s car. You’ll be able to sit back and laugh as they struggle to pull it all off to get in their car.

All Systems Go

Sneak out into your targets car before they get up and turn the radio and air-conditioning up to the max, switch on the indicator, turn on the lights and put the wipers to full speed then quickly switch the engine off. This way they’ll be blown away when they start up their car.

Baby on Board

You’ll need a baby doll and a baby car seat. You’ll also need to use duck-tape, powerful magnets or something else to secure the seat to the roof with the doll in it. When you go to a heavily populated area you can secure the car seat to the roof (with the doll in it) and drive off. The reaction of anyone who sees you will be priceless.

Hit & Run

Leave a fake note on their windscreen apologising for crashing into their car. Or better yet, leave a note saying that you were caught crashing into it and are currently pretending to write down your insurance details. Don’t forget to sign off with a hilarious fake name.

Fill Her Up

This is a classic prank. Take whatever you can get your hands on, such as; balloons, shredded newspapers or toilet roll and cram as much as you can into their car. You can laugh knowing they’ll be well and truly stuffed.

It’s a Colourful World

Sneak a few drops of food colouring in with your friend’s washer fluid. This will spray their windscreen with colourful water and freak them out. If the weather forecast is clear and sunny, you might want to smear some dirt across their window to make sure they spray it. Add red food colouring for that extra freak out factor!

Pop Goes the Wheel

Jam a balloon under your targets rear wheel so that when they drive off it will make a pretty loud bang. This will work best if you’re also in the car to see their reaction as they freak out thinking their tyre has just imploded.

Car for Sale

Make a for-sale sign and stick it in the window of your friend’s car. Make sure the asking price is low enough to grab people’s attention and put your friend’s phone number on it. Then sit back and watch them get frustrated throughout the day as buyers keep calling them about the car.

Smoke Screen

If you place some vegetable oil in your friend’s exhaust pipe their car will begin smoking. When they notice the cloud of smoke trailing their car they’ll freak out and you’ll be able to catch it all on your phone.

An Inch or a Mile

When your friend or partner parks their car use their spare keys to move it. You can park it around the corner, so they think it’s been stolen. Or if you want to plan an even meaner prank, you can move it to the side by a foot or two, or even turn the car around. This will cause them to think they’re losing it!

Don’t forget what today is! If anyone says anything that sounds too good to be true, you know exactly what to say to them…

At Keith Michaels, we like to have a laugh as much as anyone. But when it comes to cars, make sure you don’t go too extreme. It’s all fun and games until someone needs to make a claim on their car insurance. So let’s try and keep the pranks safe and innocent shall we guys?

Let us know which prank’s your favourite or, if you’ve carried out a prank before, tell us about it.

Note: Keith Michaels cannot be held responsible for any unexpected results of these pranks, ranging from damaged vehicles to broken friendships.
