Peugeot RCZ Facelift

Following on from the success of the Peugeot RCZ, Peugeot have now announced a face lift for the car. The new look will only be one for the front of the Peugeot however as they felt the rear end and the double bubble roof didn’t need any restyling this time around.

What can you expect from this face lift exactly? To start with Peugeot have given the RCZ a smaller grille, trimming it down to give a sleeker look. Add to that the reshaped headlight innards with either an aluminium or titanium background, the bolder lower air intake system, and the smoked lenses, you get a pretty impressive front end. You won’t see any other changes on the car for now as Peugeot feel that the RCZ only needed a slight nip and tuck to get it to the glorious vision it could’ve been previously.

The most exciting news about the new Peugeot RCZ is the revelation of the RCZ R Concept. Boasting a 260hp 1.6-litre Turbo High Pressure engine that will push it to be Peugeot’s most powerful production car ever. Not only does this draw your attention to the RCZ R but, the fact that Peugeot tell us it will emmit 155g/km CO2 and an average of more than 40mpg is pretty impressive too, so keep your eyes on this one.

The Peugeot RCZ and RCZ R are due for release in 2013 and we can see them being pretty big contenders in the sports coupe category.

We at Keith Michaels have been specialising in Performance Car insurance for over 20 years and the Peugeot RCZ certainly falls into that category.
