About the Polestar 2
After the success of the Polestar 1, Volvo’s performance partner developed a second production model known as the Polestar 2. A market rival to Tesla’s Model 3, the Polestar 2 has become a popular, pure EV amongst Volvo fans, which is known for its engaging electric driving. This car entered the market in 2020, where it was first shown at the 2019 Geneva motor show and, subsequently, at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Polestar 2 sits on the same platform used by XC40 and has two electric motors, mounted across both axles for four-wheel drive, and a 27-module, 78kWh battery pack integrated into the floor. It’s a pure EV with 402bhp and has a claimed range of 300 miles, hitting 0-62 in 4.7 secs in its five-door, fastback design.
In the UK, new cars are only sold online and are priced from £40,900.
