About the Genesis EV range
Genesis is the luxury vehicle division of Hyundai, becoming an independent marquee in 2015. In 2021 it launched its first EV, the utility crossover GV60, followed by the SUV GV70 and the G80 sedan.
The all-electric GV60, GV70, and G80 models offer 800V capability for ultra-fast charging, exceptional range, and impressive performance, while unique technologies are encapsulated in a state-of-the-art interior. All models can be charged at DC charging stations, as well as on domestic sockets. They also come with two types of charging cables, an In Cable Control Box (ICCB) and a type 2, for added convenience. Through advanced battery technology, an 80% charge can be achieved with the GV60 and GV70 from 18 minutes using an ultra-fast charging station, or from 22 minutes for the G80.
A Genesis warranty covers the batteries in electric models for up to 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The stylish interior of Genesis vehicles includes a unique crystal sphere which acts as the drive selector and a safety feature, so drivers know when the car is turned on and ready to operate.
From 2025 onwards all-new Genesis vehicles will be available in a fully electric option as part of the company’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.
