The new Lancer Ralliart from Mitsubishi is a 'hot hatch' version of it's bigger brother, the Evo. Cheaper and slightly less powerful, this is Mitsubishi's answer to the Fords Focus RS and VW Scrirocco R, both of which represent value-for-money performance without the bulk and price of an Evo's complex four-wheel drive system.
The Evo's little brother still packs a turbo-powered punch with 237bhp and 253lb ft of torque. Such potential sees the Ralliart just from 0-60 in 7.1 seconds, and onwards to a top speed of 137mph. At £22,109, the Lancer Ralliart makes for a tempting proposition in the highly competitive hot-hatch market.
