VW and Ferrari

Ferdinand Piech, VW’s Chairman, is looking to get Ferrari to join the VW Group’s already massive selection of brands, reports in the German press have suggested. According to Manager Magazin, Ferrari is “the real object of his desire”.

This isn’t just a pipe dream either. VW have spare cash and ferrari is valued at £2.6bn making it within reach. Fiat are not scared when it comes to selling shares it has has done so in the past and bought them back but with the idea of floating on the stock market are VW going to make an offer Fiat can’t refuse?
