BMW M3 GT2 took an overall victory at Nurburgring 24hr race recently. One of its two works BMW M3 GT2s had beaten their big rivals - a Ferrari 430 GTC and the third-placed Audi R8 LMS.
The BMW M3 GT2 squad were going to claim a second place until the 911 GT3 R team had a technical problem, which forced them to retire a few hours from the end.
Its drivers, Jorg Muller, Augusto Farfus, Uwe Alzen and Pedro Lamy, also had a fair share of technical problems with the BMW M3 GT2. With its fourth gear missing, the drivers nursed their car home to take the chequered flag.
