Porsche Carerra 911 4

This weekend at the Paris Motor Show everyone was unveiling what they were hoping to be their biggest cars of 2013. Porsche weren’t ones to hold back on their vision of this as they pulled out the Carrera 911 4 to get the attention of the market. The all-wheel drive Porsche doesn’t look set to disappoint for fans of the Carrera label either as it looks like Porsche have put a lot of effort into this series.

As per usual the Porsche collection will have four options, the Carrera 4 and the Carrera 4S, both available in convertible or coupe. With the Carrera 4 you are getting a 3.4 litre engine that boasts 350hp which will reach 0-62 in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 177mph (cabriolet 175mph). As per usual the Carrera 4S model will be fitted with the 3.8 litre engine that will produce 400hp and a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 186mph (cabriolet 184mph). These aren’t the only numbers that are looking good either. Porsche say that the Carrera 911 4 has now got an aluminium-steel composite body construction which has saved a massive 65kg on any of the previous equivalent models which gives a significant 16 per cent reduction to the Carerra’s fuel consumption.

When we had a look at the figures for Porsche’s new Carrera 911 4 and 4S we were starting to think this could be one of the cars to watch in 2013, and not even the price would put you off buying one of these. From  £77,924 for the Carrera 4 and £87,959 for the Carrera 4S on the coupe models and The Carerra 4 starting at £86,583 for the cabriolet (the 4S equivalent starting at £96,619) we look forward to the late December release heading into 2013.
