The worlds favourite super car is looking at the greener side of car manufacturing with plans for a hybrid car that were leaked in the form of a patent application have been confirmed. Ferrari is one of the worlds most prestigious brands and this move towards a hybrid vehicle will be looked upon favourably by governments and also environmentally concious customers.
The hybrid drivetrain will be officially announced and other green solutions are also being looked into such as biofuels with the'know-how' already being there.
Ferrari would not be drawn on which vehicle the hybrid concept would apply to as a foundation, but the technology is almost certainly going to be near-identical to the four-wheel drive lithium-ion battery powertrain that was shown in the patent application.
