Dr Kay Segler, the boss of BMW's M division, has recently announced their news to a German car magazine that an M version of the 1-series will definitely arrive in 2011.
Although it will be based on the 1-series coupe, the new car won't be called the M1 as its name is reserved for the original mid-engined supercar only. A more powerful version of the 135i's 302bhp turbocharged engine will be used in the new baby M-car.
